Madi Knapp is a Senior Civil Engineer with an Innovation and Design Certificate from Boise State University. Her path to engineering was anything but traditional. After high school, she became a licensed nail technician and spent three years pursuing a career in the beauty industry before returning to college to study Computer Science. She quickly realized that coding was not the right fit for her creative, visually driven mind, and discovered engineering almost unexpectedly through her first statistics course. What started as an unconventional career change soon became a passion.

Madi thrives on creative problem-solving and finding practical ways to improve, fix, and rethink the world around her. Today, she brings that same curiosity, dedication, and attention to detail to her work as a design intern, taking pride in delivering thoughtful, high-quality work from concept to completion.

Outside of engineering, Madi is a passionate hip-hop dancer who continues to challenge herself creatively through training and competition. She has competed with World of Dance and WDCC in New Zealand and frequently travels to Southern California to learn from other dancers and further develop her craft.

Whether she is designing solutions as an engineer or expressing herself through dance, Madi is driven by creativity, continuous improvement, and a desire to make the world a more beautiful, functional, and fun place.
